As part of our regular “We Are!”功能, we recognize 13 Penn Staters who have gone above and beyond what’s asked of them in their work at the University.   

Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses and the state’s community colleges have announced a new collaboration aimed at expanding educational opportunities in 宾西法尼亚 and removing barriers to degree completion among college students. The collaboration builds upon long-standing relationships between the campuses and the community colleges and a shared commitment to access and affordability in higher education. 

Seven Penn State campuses have created the Commonwealth Arboreta Network, a network that will inventory trees and plant life while sharing research and teaching resources, with the eventual goal of creating an arboretum at each of the University's 24 campuses.

The Barnes and Noble College grant program recently awarded $139,000 in grants across 12 University initiatives from eight Penn State campuses. 

With COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations on the rise in 宾西法尼亚 and across the nation, Penn State is urging its community to continue to take health precautions and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep themselves and others healthy.

Student-led distribution of green bracelets on the Penn State 蒙特中音 campus has helped area veterans and their families access non-perishable food, 牛奶, eggs and meat through the Franklin County Office of Veterans Affairs.

The Penn State 蒙特中音 Academic Festival is a way for students to display academic and artistic highlights that were researched, developed and created throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Students presented exhibits, posters and interactive displays of their work.

The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State has been awarded a $2 million grant by the Bedford Falls Foundation, resulting in the creation of more than 30 scholarship awards each totaling $40,000.
